Fungi Kids

The fascination and interest in fungi is on the increase and nowhere more so than with the Fungi Kids, which is great to see. We regularly have a contingent of young people coming along to our forays armed with their own identification books and eager to know what everything is but more important the first question on all their lips is “can you eat it?”.

To make it a bit of fun for you we are presently putting together a fact sheet illustrating the more common and not so common species which we will give to you before the first foray. It will be then down to you to seek them out and tick the box. We may even find a small prize for the first to complete the chart

So get studying through the summer, learn as many names as possible and see if you can impress the adults.
