Durlston Country Park

It has been a long while since the DFG have visited this lovely place! Directions are well signposted in the town of Swanage and you should have no problem in finding it. When you arrive could I request that you park near to the OLD visitor centre (now a learning centre) and not near the castle/present visitor centre as it will be a bit quieter there!

PLEASE NOTE: Normal car-parking charges will apply, just pay at one of the meter’s provided.

ALSO PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS IS AN SSI AREA AND “PICKING FOR THE POT” IS FORBIDDEN, SO FOR THIS FORAY YOU CAN LEAVE YOUR BASKETS AT HOME!

We will however just have one or perhaps two baskets to put any specimens for ID and for the table at the end.
