Sunday 27th October 2019
It was our second visit here last year and was about a month earlier than this, although it was heavy rain early that morning the month or so prior had been very dry with little rain. This is why we will give it a try in mid season in 2019.
Whichever way you are approaching from first make your way towards Wareham. From here take the bypass (A351) around the town, after about half a mile turn right off the A351 signposted to Creech/Steeple/Kimmeridge. Continue along this road (passing the Springfield Country Hotel on your left) and under a small railway bridge for just over 2 miles and you will come to a left hand bend in the road just past some cottages on your right, to the right there is a track leading to the parking area. Right at the entrance to this track (but quite well hidden!) is an old red telephone box and next to it a pillar box so be careful not to go past these. If you start going up a steep hill you have gone too far so turn round and go back!

PLEASE NOTE: This is a strictly private site and it is with kind permission from the landowner that we are able to visit so please NO DOGS on this particular foray, and no picking for the pot!
Please also note that the landowner has particularly requested that we try to cut down on the amount of vehicles that will be parking on site, for this reason could we ask that we make an extra effort to car share on this occasion.
