Spring Foray and Annual General Meeting 2017
Join us for our AGM at the Pamphill Village Hall on Sunday 23rd April 2017.
Prior to the AGM why not come along and enjoy a spring walk at the Dorset Wildlife Reserve at Ashley Wood near the village of Tarrant Keyneston, between Blandford an Wimborne. Hopefully we will find some fungi, (especially St Georges Mushrooms on St Georges Day) but if not it will still be a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning! This is a totally new venue for the DFG. The foray/walk will start at 10.30am (later than usual) with the meeting point being in the lay-by at Rushton Village Hall at GR ST936058. If there are more cars than it should be possible to park a short distance away in Tarrant Rushon village. The walk will take approximately 2 hours. After the walk you can stop for a picnic nearby or visit the Vine Inn at Pamphill just down the road from the village hall for a refreshing drink, before reconvening at Pamphill Village Hall at 13.30pm to enable the AGM to start promptly at 14.00pm.
For any members that cannot make the morning foray/walk, the AGM will start promptly at 2 pm at the Pamphill Village Hall, and will last approximately two hours. As last year we hope to be able to provide complimentary cream teas at some point during/after the AGM for those who wish to partake?
For directions to Pamphill Village Hall, please see below.
From the Wimborne direction take the B3082 and head towards Blandford. After just over a mile, passing Queen Elizabeth's School to your left you will reach a left turning signposted to Pamphill. Turn here and continue for 100 yards and the hall is on your right.
